Fritz Scholder

My artist to research was Fritz Scholder.  I could not find that much on him other than that he was a renowned Native American artist.  He was born on October 6, 1937 in Breckenridge Minnesota.  He new at an early age what he was meant to do.  He attended a music camp and was voted best boy artist and president of the art camp.  He met many Native American designers from the Cherokee tribe and also studied alot with Hopi jewlery designer Charles Laloma.  Scholder graduated from the University of Sacramento and soon after was invited to participate in the Rockefeller Indian Project at the University of Arizona.  Now he currently has some of his works of art in the Museum of Northern Arizona.   These are some of his pieces shown there.
